All things Vegas

I was a little burned out on trips to Vegas because after I’ve been more times than I can count for bachelorettes, spring break, annual BFF trips, etc! I can say in the past 8 years I’ve gone almost every year, maybe even more than once per year, and this year it seems that I couldn’t stay away, again!

I managed to go to Vegas twice this year, and headed there again next week - so this is a round up on all things Vegas!

Places to Stay

Cosmopolitan-

For starters, if you’ve never stayed at The Cosmopolitan, you need to put it on your list! It is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, so if you do it right, you can use your Marriott reward points to stay for free! That definitely wasn’t enough for us, we splurged a little (why not?! the room was initially free!) and got a Wrap around Terrace Suite with an amazing view of the Las Vegas Strip, with the best view in town of the Bellagio fountain!

Wynn-

staying at the Wynn definitely had a more luxurious feeling, and I would highly recommend staying here! My favorite part about these mini vacations is putting on the comfy robe and enjoying room service before getting the pool parties started (in the summer).

Other places I’ve stayed on previous trips-

MGM- I loved the MGM, but it’s at the very end of the strip so I felt like it wasn’t very easy to get around to all of the main casinos and shopping on the strip

Planet Hollywood- Love the location of Planet Hollywood and all of the shopping at the Miracle Mile Shops! They also have a Dry Bar here, so if you want to get a blow out before a night out on the strip, this is super convenient!

Luxor- Not the biggest fan of this Casino, and don’t remember a ton, I stayed here during one of my first trips to Vegas in college! I would choose other places to stay on the strip over this one!

Shows to see-

Jennifer Lopez- This show was as amazing as I was anticipating! Unfortunately her residency did end, so you’re not able to see her anymore.

Chippendales- This was definitely a wild experience! We somehow managed to get front & center for this show, and it was quite the treat! haha It is located off the strip in the Rio, but still worth it- I will check out Thunder from Down Under next time too! You can typically get on Groupon and find deals for these type of shows!

Beattles Love by Cirque du Soleil- I saw this show one of the times I went to Vegas (a few years ago), and it was such a good show!! Highly Recommend!

Places to Eat-

Breakfast-

Egg Slut- If you’ve been to LA, you’re probably familiar with this popular breakfast spot! In Vegas, it’s located inside the Cosmopolitan and you’re likely to have to wait in line- but it goes by quick & definitely worth it!

Lunch/Dinner-

S&W Steakhouse- located inside of the Wynn, this is a higher end restaurant with an elegant atmosphere! I recommend getting reservations and sitting outside by the waterfall, you’ll get to enjoy a show every 15-30 minutes!

Beauty & Essex- If you read my New York blog post, then you recognize this restaurant! It’s located inside of the Cosmopolitan

Gordon Ramsay Burger- If you’re looking for something casual & like burger’s, I would recommend going to Planet Hollywood & eating here!

Late Night-

Earl of Sandwich- I am obsessed with this sandwich shop, especially after a Vegas night out! My best friend & I are obsessed and have to eat here every single time we are in Vegas! It is located inside of Planet Hollywood

I’m heading to Vegas next week for a quick trip during the NFR, what other things do you recommend for me to do, eat? Love hearing other people’s suggestions!
