Phoenix Open Weekend
When I decided to plan this trip for the Phoenix Open, it wasn’t really for the golf, and really just to go to the Birds Nest concerts that were being held each night of the tournament. Any chance to see live music, especially Midland and Old Dominion, count me in!
Where we Stayed-
Hilton Resort & Villas- We stayed in Scottsdale at the Hilton Resort & Villas, and the accommodations were great! We had a two bedroom, two bathroom villa that had plenty of space for us and was detached from the hotel. We went with a group so this was perfect to give everyone plenty of space to get ready, etc.
Since the rooms were a little further than the rest of the hotel, pool, etc. we did not spend much time using the amenities and I sadly didn’t get to take another other photos of the property.
Another cool hotel that is right off of the golf course and I would recommend staying at would be the Farimont Scottsdale Princess- it is absolutely stunning and right off of the 4th hole on the course.
This was definitely a nightmare and a downside to the trip. Honestly- if you’re planning to come to Phoenix next year for the golf tournament, I would definitely recommend staying closer to the golf course because Uber’s were so expensive! Not only that, I got car sick so many times from the stop and go traffic of trying to get to the tournament.
The Birds Nest
This was such a cool experience and so much fun! We got to go backstage for the Midland and Old Dominion Concerts, and that alone made the trip so fun and worth it!
There were different options for tickets- General Admission, VIP, and VIP Pit - we VIP pit tickets, but got lucky enough to go backstage and enjoy the less crowded view from backstage.
The Phoenix Open
This was such a fun experience on Thursday, and I can definitely say one day was enough to get my golf fix and see that the 16h hole is everything it is hyped up to be! We were lucky enough to experience it from the 16th hole skybox, and it was such a good time!
So needless to say, I think I may be back to Arizona next year for a little more live music & golf!
